The Howard and Ursula Dubin Foundation, established in 1997, mainly
supports journalists and other animals. It favors “no-kill” policies
for reporters, editors, dogs and cats. Its largest grants go to a low-cost
spay-neuter clinic (animals only, no journalists) and to bring the BBC
World News to Chicagoland television.
Its assets are above $5,000,000 and its annual
grants to journalism groups, animal protective and religious organizations
total about $250,000.
